Center for Global Africa
The Africa We Want, The Sixth Region We Want
Professor Ezrah conceptualized and founded the Center for Global Africa (CGA) at Delaware State University in 2018, as a futurist and systems-approach think tank that collaborates with private-public partners to connect the academics of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to economies and nations of Africa in ways that are solution oriented, revenue generating, and mutually beneficial.
Being a scholar who employs knowledge, he structured a historic 2018 partnership between the CGA and the African Union (AU) through the AU’s African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), which distinguishes the CGA as the only HBCU institution in partnership with the AU and the 42 member nations of APRM.
Considering Africa’s emerging economies and opportunities related to Agenda 2063 – which is the AU’s 50-year blueprint for African development – Professor Ezrah views his body of ongoing work as a critical and enterprising nexus to make accelerated Africa-Diaspora progress possible, while uniquely expanding the 21st-century role and relevance of HBCUs.
